Our History


Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. is a fourth-generation family owned and operated business. The firm was founded by Fred M. Luth in 1920 and has operated continuously since its inception.

Fred M. Luth’s sons, Fred J. and Louis, joined the firm before it was incorporated in 1947.

Louis Luth’s sons, William and Robert, later undertook operation of the business.

Today the firm is run by Bill’s son Michael. Mike represents the fourth generation of the Luth family to lead Fred M. Luth & Sons.

Originally founded as a well drilling company, the firm branched into construction of water lines, sewer lines and other related areas of work shortly after. Today, Fred M. Luth & Sons specializes in open cut and trenchless installation of sanitary sewers, storm sewers, force mains and water lines. The firm also performs earthwork, pump station construction, installation and maintenance of stormwater treatment/detention systems and site development.
