Our Mission is to be known as the best utility contractor in the St. Louis area. We achieve this Mission by providing top quality workmanship and dealing with our employees, our clients, and the public with the utmost fairness, honesty, and respect.
Our History
Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. is a fourth generation family owned and family operated business. The firm was originally founded by Fred M. Luth in 1920 and has operated continuously since that date. Fred M. Luth’s sons, Fred J. and Louis A. (both now deceased), joined the firm before it was incorporated in 1947. Louis’s sons, William L. Luth and Robert J. Luth later undertook operation of the business (Bob is now retired). Today, the firm is run by Bill and his son, Michael W. Luth. Mike represents the fourth generation of the Luth family operating the business.
Originally founded as a well drilling company, the firm branched into water lines, sewer lines, and other areas of work soon thereafter (the firm no longer drills wells). Today, Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. specializes in open cut and trenchless installation of sanitary sewers, storm sewers, forcemains, and waterlines. The firm also consistently performs pump station construction, installation and maintenance of storm water treatment / detention systems, and site development.
